November 1st Rotary Expo

On November 1st in Nashua, District 7870 held its first Rotary Expo.
The Expo had food stations in addition to a cash bar. There was a
formal program at each Expo with featured speakers on Foundation
activities. More than a dozen clubs had table displays of their
fund raising or special projects. Joining them were displays from
Shelter Box, Amigos de Honduras, Pure Water for the World, a ClubRunner
demonstration and more.
The Formal Presentation began at 7:30 pm. The raffle prizes were drawn at the conclusion of the Presentations.
Pittsfield Rotary President, Donna Keeley won the Red Sox Yankees tickets and will be enjoying that match up next year.
Russ Francis - Former All-Star NE Patriot related how he came to be a NE Patriot with humility and a sense of humor.
The keynote speaker Sheila Cavanaugh, a Former Ambassadorial Scholar from Worcester, MA spoke on how the Rotary Ambassadorial scholarship changed her life. For about 20 minutes one could hear a pin drop as Sheila told of her schooling, stroke, trip to Wall Street and then to the Far East to school and those people she met along the way. A truely inspiring story.
