This year's Henniker Rotary Chilli Fest held on August 19th was the most successful ever.
Unlike last year when it rained, this year the weather was partly cloudy and cool with occasional breaks of sun. Too cold for the lake or the beach, but perfect for a family get together at Pat's Peak for Henniker Rotary club's major fund raiser. And come they did!

The amateur chilli makers - more than 20 strong were overwhelmed by the demand for their offerings and so many ran out that the dead line for voting was moved way up. The commercial Chilli makers had enough to make the voting cut-off.

Beside Chilli there was hot dogs and hamburgers a classic car contest, an inflatable slide and live entertainment for the kids. Henniker Rotarians were selling New Orleans type Mardi Gras beads, commemorative glasses and raffle tickets. Chris Parkinson won a DVD player, Tony Gilmore a dinner for two at Daniels and some lucky lady, a flat screen tv.
