2007 Scholarship Awards Given

Capital City Sunrise Rotary and Kathy Daniels award Randy Daniels Memorial and Don Miner Memorial Scholarships
At the club's meeting on August second, Kathy Daniels joined us to
award two of the four Randy Daniels Memorial $1,000 Scholarships given
this year to Colin Curley from Concord and Kristen Nichols from
Contoocook.
On August 16 two more scholars joined the club for breakfast and to be recognized. Photograph above with President Jack.
Jeff Moore is receiving the first Don Miner Memorial Scholarship given this year. Jeff will be going to Paul Smith's College - he is from Loudon and attended MVHS. Jeff's high school contributions:Community/volunteer: Community/volunteer: 4-H Belknap County; Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church Youth Group; IMSI International Maple Grading School. Sports - Basketball (Varsity Captain), Football. Sports Awards: BB Team MVP; NHIAA/ADA Male Athletic/Academic Honor Roll; Elected to Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl; Football Varsity Captain; MVP; Wendy's High School Heisman, Boy's nominee. Academic Awards: High Honor Roll; Principles Award ; NHTI 12 total college credits; project Lead the Way.
Chelsea Terney is a Randy Daniels Memorial Scholar. She is from Penacook and also attended MVHS. Chelsea will be attending Salve Regina University. Her high school contributions: Community/volunteer - Church group (30 hours), Catechism Class, Coordinated Toys for Tots Foundation event; Red Cross volunteer, Co-Editor of Yearbook, Tutor, communmity beautification, helping elderly, classroom aide, coaching and refereeing for rec. leagues. Academic - 3 college courses and 2 AP classes; National Honor Society, High honors (4 years); NH High School Female Athletic & Academic Award; NH Student Athlete Leadership Conference; Principal's Academic Achievement Award & Award for Education Achievement, NH BB Coaches Organization Academic Honor Roll Award. Sports - Captain of Basketball, Field Hockey and played soccer.
All the winners have been invited to be our guest at a meeting.
